I received my Masters of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in 1990. Since then I have spent my career in school settings working at all levels, preschool through high school, in various roles; interventionist, therapist and advisor for gifted and talented students, school social worker supporting students with special education related individual education plans, and as a school counselor.
I have also maintained a private practice working with children and providing parent coaching. In my practice I support children, 5-12 yrs old, with a variety of presenting issues including anxiety, peer relationships, school issues, emotional regulation, family change, grief / loss and adoption. My goal is for children to learn skills and recognize their own strengths to help them navigate challenges and their daily lives with more comfort and ease. In addition to my formal training and my work experience, I have learned so much as the parent of two children, one adopted, one neurodivergent.
I am passionate about my work and bring empathy, humor and a sense of hope into my connections with children and their families.
Please feel free to contact me to learn more and to see whether I’d be a good fit for your family.

I am a board-certified behaviorn analyst (BCBA) with over 15 years of experience dedicated to supporting autistic/neurodivergent children, young adults, and their families. My journey began at NYC Autism Charter Schools, where I learned the profound impact of community, mentorship, and flexibility in therapeutic practice. Over the years, I’ve earned my Master’s degree in Neuroscience & Education, honed my skills in ABA, and became a licensed and board certified behavior analyst.
I am deeply passionate about providing individualized, dynamic support that meets each person where they are. Every individual and family is unique, and I believe that meaningful change is rooted in personalized care, driven by empathy, and informed by real-world experience.
My experience spans both the school system and insurance-funded spaces, and my focus is always on delivering the highest level of service that addresses the complexities of each client’s needs. I have over 10 years of extensive experience training caregivers and related professionals on a variety of topics including: understanding autism and ABA, understanding the roots of challenging behaviors and how to provide support, best practices in teaching, and creating customized support plans for home and community settings. Similarly, I have 15 years of experience working directly with autistic and neurodivergent youth, ages 2-21, on a wide range of skills. My specific areas of specialty are in the reduction of challenging behaviors that interfere with opportunities to learn, building tolerance around non preferred tasks (specifically medical appointments and daily living tasks), and creating structures and visual supports in the environment to promote as much independence as possible. My passion for this work stems from a belief that every person deserves the opportunity to succeed, and that navigating the challenges of our healthcare and education systems should never stand in your way.
